🌍
Our purpose shapes everything in these terms. Force4Good exists to inspire every employee to give time to the community, by recognising volunteers who are already doing so. These Terms are designed to protect that mission, the volunteers who drive it, and the Not for Profits who benefit from it. Please read them — they matter.
1About Force4Good
Force4Good ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") is a community platform operated by Humanity in Business, in strategic partnership with The Hans Foundation. Our mission is to inspire more employees to create social impact by publicly recognising the volunteers already doing so.
Force4Good is a public-facing community — not a recruitment tool, not an advertising platform. Every feature of this Platform exists in service of one goal: getting more hours of skilled, passionate human energy flowing into the communities and Not for Profits that need it most.
By registering as a volunteer or using any feature of this Platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Platform.

What you agree to when registering
By completing the registration form and ticking the consent checkbox, you confirm that:

5NFP verification & confirmation letters
Force4Good is built on transparency. To maintain the integrity of our community — and to ensure that the NFPs we celebrate are genuinely benefiting from the hours our volunteers give — we require verification of all volunteering claims.
Confirmation letter requirement
For each NFP you list on your profile, you are required to upload a Confirmation Letter — a written communication from the NFP confirming:
- The name of the volunteer
- The name and contact details of the NFP
- The date(s) on which volunteering took place
- The number of hours contributed
- A signature or stamp from an authorised representative of the NFP
⚠️
Important: Uploading a false, altered, or fabricated Confirmation Letter is a serious breach of these Terms and will result in immediate removal from the Platform. We reserve the right to contact NFPs directly to verify submitted letters.
What makes a qualifying NFP
For the purposes of Force4Good, a qualifying Not for Profit is any organisation that:
- Operates for community benefit rather than profit distribution
- Is a registered charity, trust, society, or non-governmental organisation in its country of operation
- Is not a political party, political campaign, or organisation primarily engaged in political lobbying
- Does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or nationality in the provision of its services
6Hours record & badge system
Force4Good tracks volunteering hours on a per calendar year basis. Hours are attributed to the year in which the volunteering took place, as confirmed by the date entered on your registration or activity post.
Volunteer hours badges
The following badges are awarded based on cumulative verified hours in a calendar year:
| Badge | Hours required / year | Context |
| 🌱 Newcomer | 8 hours | One full day — the minimum entry point |
| 🤝 Contributor | 16 hours | Two days — above India's corporate average |
| ⭐ Active Volunteer | 32 hours | Four days — 4× the national average |
| 🔥 Dedicated | 60 hours | One working week equivalent per year |
| 💪 Champion | 100 hours | Top 5% of Indian corporate volunteers |
| 🏆 Legend | 200 hours | Extraordinary, career-defining commitment |
Social sharing badges
The following badges reward members who amplify the community by sharing other volunteers' posts to external social media platforms. Sharing counts are measured on a weekly basis:
| Badge | Shares required / week | What it means |
| 📢 Amplifier | 10 shares | You're spreading the word |
| 📣 Advocate | 25 shares | Inspiring your network regularly |
| 🎙 Influencer | 50 shares | Moving the whole community |
| 🌟 Ambassador | 75 shares | A force multiplier for good |
| 👑 Community Champion | 100 shares | The highest honour on Force4Good |
Badges are indicators of community contribution — not endorsements. Force4Good badges recognise self-reported and verified volunteering activity. They do not constitute a professional qualification or certification of any kind.
7Content you post
When you post an Activity on Force4Good — including photos, written descriptions, and NFP details — you grant Force4Good and Humanity in Business a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and share that content on the Platform and on associated social media channels for the purpose of promoting volunteering and community engagement.
What you are responsible for
- Accuracy: All content you post must accurately reflect a volunteering activity you personally participated in.
- Consent: If your photos include other individuals, you must have obtained their consent to be photographed and for the image to be publicly shared.
- Respect for NFPs: You must not post content that misrepresents, disparages, or harms the reputation of any NFP or its beneficiaries.
- Privacy of beneficiaries: Do not include identifying information about vulnerable individuals — including children, patients, or people experiencing hardship — in your activity posts without appropriate consent.
- No commercial promotion: Activity posts must not be used to advertise products, services, or your own business interests.
We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these terms or that we reasonably determine is harmful to the community, to NFPs, or to individuals featured in posts.
8Social sharing
Force4Good encourages members to share volunteer activities — both their own and those of other members — to LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Sharing is a core mechanism through which we grow the movement and inspire more people to volunteer.
Sharing other members' content
When you share another member's Activity post to an external social media platform:
- You agree to share the content in a manner that is respectful and faithful to the original post.
- You must not alter, crop, or add to the content in a way that changes its meaning or misrepresents the volunteer or the NFP.
- Your share count is tracked and contributes to your Social Sharing Badge level.
- Automated or bot-driven sharing is prohibited and will result in removal of your account and Sharing Score.
Third-party platforms
Force4Good is not responsible for the terms, policies, or practices of LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or any other third-party social media platform. By sharing content to those platforms, you agree to be bound by their respective terms of service.
9Community standards
Force4Good is a community built on empathy, generosity, and respect. All members agree to uphold the following standards:
🤝
Respect every community member
You will not harass, intimidate, discriminate against, or demean any other member, NFP, or individual featured on the Platform, regardless of their background, beliefs, or volunteering approach.
✅
Be truthful
You will only post activities, hours, and NFP relationships that genuinely reflect your volunteering history. Fabricating, exaggerating, or falsifying volunteering records undermines the entire community and the NFPs who rely on our volunteers.
🛡
Protect vulnerable people
You will take particular care when posting content that involves children, people with disabilities, or individuals experiencing hardship. The dignity of those your work serves must always come first.
🚫
No self-promotion or spam
Force4Good is not an advertising platform. Content promoting personal services, commercial products, or business interests — even indirectly — is not permitted.
💚
Champion the mission
You will use Force4Good in the spirit it was created — to inspire more giving back by recognising those who do. If you see something that undermines this, please report it to us.
10Privacy & data
By registering on Force4Good, you acknowledge that:

- Your email address is used solely for account management, notifications, and communications related to your Force4Good membership. It is not displayed publicly.
- Confirmation Letters uploaded during registration are stored securely and used only for verification purposes. They are not shared publicly or with third parties.
- We may use aggregated, anonymised data about community activity (such as total hours volunteered, most-supported NFPs, and geographic trends) for reporting, research, and mission-related communications.
- You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by writing to hello@humanityinbusiness.com.au.
Force4Good does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or commercial third parties. Our platform is ad-free and exists solely to serve the volunteering community.

12Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Force4Good is provided as a community platform in good faith and on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of volunteering records, hours totals, or badge awards.
- We do not verify the legal status or charitable registration of every NFP listed by members, though we encourage members to volunteer with registered organisations.
- We are not liable for any loss, harm, or dispute that arises from a volunteering arrangement between a member and an NFP, whether facilitated through Force4Good or not.
- We are not responsible for the content of external websites, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or the websites of NFPs linked from volunteer profiles.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.
⚠️
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13Termination & removal
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any member account, without notice, where we reasonably believe a member has:
- Provided false, misleading, or fabricated information — including fake NFP confirmations or false hours records
- Impersonated another individual or created a fictitious identity
- Breached our Community Standards (Section 9)
- Used the Platform for commercial promotion, spam, or any purpose contrary to our mission
- Engaged in automated or bot-driven sharing activity
- Breached any applicable law in connection with their use of the Platform
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@humanityinbusiness.com.au. Upon closure, your profile will be removed from public view. Content already shared by other members to external platforms may remain accessible beyond our control.
14Governing law & changes to these terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and by the laws of India as applicable to members based there, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance, and thereafter through the courts of the relevant jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, our mission, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify members by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We will never make changes to these Terms that reduce your rights without giving you reasonable notice and the opportunity to close your account if you do not agree.
